The program prepares students to take on sustainability challenges as individuals, community-members, and professionals. Students who successfully complete the program will have a new credential for their resume and the know-how to tackle issues of sustainability in their future profession and life. Join with other students, have fun, learn skills, and make a difference!


Knowing how to act on sustainability will be one of the most important skills to have when you graduate. No matter what you study, the Sustainable Citizen Program is for you.


Our world faces growing challenges with climate change, pollution, and resource depletion. These problems will affect you, your community, society, and everyone else.

The program is designed to offer a fun, practical, and meaningful experience for students who wish to explore sustainability issues.

Sustainability 101 - Tuesday, October 16; 11am-12:30pm; International Pavilion
Climate Change 101 – Thursday, October 25; 4:30pm-6pm; Gardner Auditorium in the College of Business
Sustainability 101 – Wednesday, Novermber 7; 2:30pm-4pm; Union, Havasu AB Room
Sust. Citizen Workshop (2 hours) – Friday, November 16; 1pm-3pm; The Du Bois Center, Juniper Room
