Financing your full-time MBA program
NAU’s accelerated MBA Program allows students to save on time and expense by completing the degree in 10-months. As an MBA student, you’ll be eligible for a variety of financial aid programs and financing options. For the MBA Class of 2017-18, approximately 93% of the students received some form of assistance, with most students using a combination of programs to cover their expenses. It is recommended to complete you application to the MBA program by October before your desired start date. Financial awarding begins in November each year.

The amounts shown are presented only as a guide and are subject to change without notice. These amounts are a minimum estimate for a full academic year in the MBA program for 2018-2019, which includes summer session, fall and spring semesters.

1. The MBA Program fee is billed in two payments – July and December. The due dates for the program fee are the same dates as the tuition deadlines. Once you begin the summer session, the fall payment is non-refundable. Once you begin the spring semester, the MBA Program fee is non-refundable.
2. International students must purchase NAU health insurance.
3. Total Cost does not include books, housing and miscellaneous expenses. Book prices vary widely depending upon the source of purchase or rental. Housing expense varies widely depending upon whether you choose on or off-campus housing, and how many people share in the expense. Campus meal plans are not required, food off campus may be more (or less) expensive. For additional information, please contact the NAU Office of Residence Life.
Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) Accordion Closed
Tuition assistance is available for out-of-state students from 15 Western Region US States. NAU is the only university in the 15 WRGP states that offers assistance for an MBA program with an emphasis in Management or Accounting. For more information, please visit the NAU Graduate College website.
Graduate assistantships Accordion Closed
A limited number of graduate assistantships are available on a competitive basis to admitted MBA students with a demonstrated record of excellence both in the classroom and in the workplace. Graduate assistantships are ten hour per week paid positions. For the 2018-2019 academic year, the award value is approximately $10,898 for resident students and $23,984 for non-resident students.
Other types of graduate assistantships are occasionally available for students to work in various university offices and programs. Stipends vary with the duties and time requirements associated with the assistantship. MBA students are not permitted to work more than 10 hours per week due to the rigors of the MBA program. Tuition waivers Accordion Closed
A limited number of scholarships in the form of resident and non-resident tuition waivers are available each year as well. The waivers require no specific work from the student and are allocated on a university-wide competitive basis.

The MBA Program offers a limited number of private donor scholarships. Scholarship amounts and criteria are subject to change each year. Please refer to the MBA office for additional information about scholarships.
Undergraduate NAU students looking to pursue their MBA at NAU should consider completing the FCB continuing student scholarship in the winter. Many NAU students receive additional MBA funding this way.
MBA program fee aid Accordion Closed
A portion of the MBA Program Fee is reserved for aid to admitted MBA students each year. In order to be eligible for aid, students must be US citizens and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The deadline for completion varies; please refer to the MBA Program office for additional information.
Military personnel Accordion Closed
NAU has a very active veterans department and has the distinction of being recognized as a military friendly school. The NAU Veteran and Military Leadership Program provides assistance to admitted MBA candidates. International students Accordion Closed
Upon completion of the admissions process, international students are eligible for graduate assistantships, tuition waivers, fellowships, and some scholarships. We also encourage you to investigate all sources of funding within your home country, including government and private scholarships and loans.
