The W. A. Franke College of Business offers non-credit career education and workplace training opportunities as well as classes for personal enrichment.

Non-credit and micro-credential programs

The Center offers non-credit programs and courses in partnership with Continuing Education at NAU. These classes will help you expand your knowledge and strengthen your skills in your field.

  • ServSafe® Manager certification – Learn how to keep food safe through good personal hygiene, preventing cross-contamination, time and temperature controls, allergen awareness, and by creating food safety management and training protocols. Upon completion of the course, you can plan to take the ServSafe Manager certification Exam.
  • Customer Service – Sharpen your customer service skills with this non-credit course. Learn tips and strategies to best serve customers and meet the needs of your guests.
  • Cost Control for Industry – Gain a broad understanding of controlling costs in the hospitality industry. Learn about processes and techniques to achieve profitability while maintaining high-quality service.
  • Soft Skills in Hospitality – Improve your knowledge and application of interpersonal skills that are important to interact with others within business and hospitality settings. Developing soft skills will enhance your emotional intelligence, improve your ability to create effective presentations, boost your public speaking confidence, and strengthen client relationships.
