Riley Coniglio

Riley Coniglio is a student at Northern Arizona University who is originally from San Diego, California. He will be receiving a degree in finance with a certificate in investment banking upon graduation in May, 2017.

Mr. Coniglio is one of the returning students handling the Student Managed Investment Fund. As a student in Finance 441, he was responsible for a $50,000 stock acquisition for the NAU Foundation’s portfolio. His history of success with the portfolio in Finance 441 has prepared him for this semester’s class, Finance 442. This year, Coniglio is a team lead and is responsible for the industrial sector within the ESG portfolio. Evaluating investments, and performing risk and return analyses, are a few of the aspects he most enjoys about the finance industry.

Upon graduation, Coniglio plans to travel overseas and then to seek an entry-level job as an analyst within the investment banking community, particularly within the real estate industry. San Diego will always be his home, but he expects to begin his career wherever there is opportunity and potential for growth.

Dylan Cooper

Dylan Cooper is a senior graduating in May of 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with an emphasis in Investments. This is her second semester in the Student Managed Investment Fund, and is currently the team leader for the Consumer Discretionary sector. Dylan interned at Morgan Stanley for the past summer and plans to work at Vanguard upon graduation. She hopes to establish a career within Wealth Management in the future.

Heather Craig

Heather Craig is a Junior at Northern Arizona University, and an investment analyst for the the real-estate sector of the Student Managed Investment Fund. She is also a member of the Business Leadership Program at the Franke College of Business.

Heather is seeking a BS in Marketing as well as a certificate in Information Systems Management. She is well versed in today’s markets in general and in the real estate market in particular where she currently works as an intern for Logan Talley Group – ReMax Realty. Heather’s skills include Bloomberg and Microsoft Office.  Heather is an experienced presenter, having presented for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at multiple fund raising events.

Joseph Criscione

Originally from Upland, CA, Joe Criscione is a Senior at Northern Arizona University graduating in May of 2017. His degree includes a major in finance as well as an investment certificate.

In his 4 year academic career at NAU, he’s held multiple positions including being a tutor for the university in the subjects of finance, accounting, economics, and math. He’s been a part of the Mortgage Banking Internship Program at Quicken Loans, in Scottsdale, AZ, as well as held a position as a Campus Ambassador at NAU for Quicken Loans.

Upon graduation, Joe plans to begin a role as a Financial Reporting Associate for Equity Methods located in Scottsdale, AZ.

Rojeen Derakhshandeh

Rojeen Derakhshandeh is a senior majoring in Finance with a certificate in Investments. She has worked at The W. A. Franke College of Business as an Ambassador since Fall 2016. Rojeen has also had Summer internships the past three years at Quicken Loans, Amazon and Arizona Public Services in the finance department. This is her second semester in the Student Managed Investment Fund and is currently the team leader for the Consumer Staples sector.

Matthew Dionisio

Matthew Dionisio is a senior at Northern Arizona University. He is currently working on a BA in economics as well as a certificate in hospitality. He previously worked for Ronald McDonald House Charities which provides nearby housing for families of sick children. While there, he mainly served in the accounting department, organizing accounting records for the House.

Tim Eshelman

Tim Eshelman is a Senior-Year student at Northern Arizona University’s W. A. Franke College of Business. He has maintained a full tuition waiver scholarship and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.47.

Mr. Eshelman’s most recent job has been with Magic Pest Control: a family owned general pest, termite, and weed control business. Although officially titled “termite technician,” he is also a trusted advisor for managerial and logistical decisions. Previously, Mr. Eshelman worked at NAU’s Academic Transition Programs, in which he mentored Freshmen and struggling students to perform better in their classes.

Mr. Eshelman is currently working on his BSBA in Finance and Certificate in Investments. As soon as is possible, he plans to begin working towards the Chartered Financial Analyst certification.

Anthony Fischetti

Anthony Fischetti is currently a senior at Northern Arizona University. He is studying finance with a certificate in investments. This is Anthony’s second semester in the Student Managed Investments Fund class.

Anthony is currently a second-year Resident Assistant at NAU, where he enjoys helping and developing 37 freshmen residents. Previously, Anthony worked as a Management/ Sales Intern at Sherwin Williams. While in this role, Anthony and his team won the Sherwin Williams PaintShield marketing project competition. Prior to that, Anthony worked for Big 5 Sporting Goods, contributing to the success of the company by increasing sales.

Daniel Foster

Daniel Foster is a senior finance student at Northern Arizona University. Within the Student Managed Investment Fund, he serves as the team leader in a group responsible for oversight of the energy stock sector.

Daniel previously interned with Foresters Financial, a personal financial services company, and also completed an externship with AXA Advisors. Daniel is a member of two honor societies on campus, Phi Theta Kappa and Golden Key International Honor Society. He also serves a leadership position within Alpha Kappa Psi – professional business fraternity.

Daniel plans to graduate from Northern Arizona University in December of 2017. Upon graduation, he plans to work for an investment management company while pursuing Series 7 and Series 63 certifications.

Lauren Gerber-Manning

Lauren Gerber-Manning is a senior majoring in finance with a minor in philosophy and certificates in investments and international business. She is currently participating in the Global Investment Research Challenge through the CFA Institute, and will be presenting the team analysis on Western Alliance Bank in February. Lauren is also currently studying for the CFA Level I exam, which she will take in June.

Trey Glenn

Trey Glenn is a senior undergraduate student studying Finance at Northern Arizona University with a minor in criminology and criminal justice. Along with school he is also a full time sales associate with expertise in computing and digital imaging.

Trey Glenn is expecting to graduate in May of 2017 and looking to take full advantage of his Finance degree. He was born and raised in Las Vegas but will go wherever his career is able to start him off. Trey Glenn has taken interest in the SMIF (Student Managed Investment Fund) class at The W. A. Franke College of Business in order to develop hands on experience with investments. Investment banking is something he is very interested in and is a field in which he would like to end up some day. After a few years out in the work place, Trey would like to eventually go back to school to earn his MBA in finance and try to climb the ladder of the business world.

Ryan Goggins

Ryan Goggins is a Junior Attending Northern Arizona University pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration, finance and a certificate in investments. He currently possesses licenses in property, casualty, health, and life insurance, and is an insurance agent for a Farmers insurance agency located in Flagstaff, AZ.
Mr. Goggins currently invests with his own portfolio and is particularly interested in financials, real estate, and biotechnology.

Travis Hernbroth

Travis Hernbroth is a senior business student at Northern Arizona University expecting to graduate December, 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance along with certificates of Economics and Investments. He wishes to pursue a career in either financial planning or asset management upon completion of his degree. Aside from being a student, Travis plays for the ACHA Division 2 Ice Hockey team at NAU as well as works a part time job as a server.

Andrew Jachetta

I am a self-motivated individual who strives for excellence on a daily basis. I enjoy pushing myself and the people around me to succeed to new lengths daily.

I am currently working full-time insurance agent, while going to school for my finance degree. I am a graduating Senior (May 2017) at Northern Arizona University. I am interested in pursing a career in Investments.

Jack Poupore

I am a graduating senior in The W. A. Franke College of Business studying finance with a minor in investments. I accepted a job with a strategic consulting & investment firm in Denver, CO which manages investments in real estate, tech, film, hospitality, and various nascent industries. My long-term goal is to operate and manage my own private equity firm to provide capital and advisory services to emerging industries.

Samuel Rich

Samuel Rich is a senior student at Northern Arizona University majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics. Additionally, he is the current vice president of the investment club at NAU.

Mr. Rich grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where he attended Thunderbird High School. During his time at Thunderbird high school, Mr. Rich was involved with many extra curricular activities including: DECA, track & field, hockey, ping pong, and basketball. During his senior year he qualified for the State DECA competition where his team pitched a creative marketing project awarding them an invitation to the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida later that year.

Mr. Rich has been following financial markets for the last five years. Over the last two years, he has been applying his knowledge from his studies at NAU as well as online resources to produce consistent returns investing in the equities and derivatives markets. Mr. Rich has achieved this through the use of fundamental analysis, minimizing correlation of assets within portfolio, and applying defined risk option premium strategies.

Mr. Rich will be graduating in the spring in the hopes of pursuing a career in portfolio management or corporate finance.

Stephen Romine

Stephen Romine is a senior at Northern Arizona University who will be graduating in the spring of 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Stephen previously worked at Northwestern Mutual in San Diego in their financial representative internship, where he meet with new people every day either by himself or with another colleague in the office to help build his knowledge of finance, insurance, and sales. Prior to that Stephen worked in construction as well as in food and beverage for Legoland California Resort.

Stephen is hard worker whose goal is to better his knowledge of the financial & investment industry, as well as improve his skills as a leader.

Laina Salerno

Laina Salerno is a senior pursuing a degree in Finance with an emphasis in investments and will graduate in May from Northern Arizona University. Laina is an analyst in the Consumer Staples sector. She hopes to pursue a career as a financial analyst upon graduation.

Lauren Seldon

Ms. Seldon is currently a full-time senior finance student at Northern Arizona University who is planning to earn her degree this summer 2017. In addition to pursuing a BS in finance, Ms. Seldon will also be completing her minor in psychology and certificate in investments. After graduating, Ms Seldon plans to pursue a career in real estate investing or financial analysis.

Ms. Seldon works on the Northern Arizona University campus as a Student Office Worker for the Department of Sociology and Social Work. As a Student Office Worker, she is trained in various forms of administrative and clerical work. In addition, Ms. Seldon has worked at the Orange County Fair & Events Center for the past three summers in various customer service positions. In her first summer with the Fair, she was assigned to the Parking Department as a Parking Attendant. The last two summers, she was assigned to the Carnival Sales Department as a Ticket Seller.

Kevin Valenzuela

Kevin Valenzuela is a senior at Northern Arizona University. His is majoring in finance with a certificate in investments.

Kevin was a student in the student managed investment fund last semester and is now a team leader in the class this semester. He worked in the service industry for four years in Phoenix, Arizona. Kevin was most recently an intern for a commercial real estate mortgage company in Phoenix, Arizona. At this internship he worked as a loan analyst and field representative. As a loan analyst intern he reviewed financial statements and performed valuations of properties. He also learned the process of underwriting loans.

After graduation Kevin plans to work in field of real estate finance and begin working on getting a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
