Clubs and organizations
In the Franke business division, we offer several clubs to choose from—helping you broaden your experience, network with peers and mentors, and round out the learning that takes place in the classroom. Take a look, attend a few meetings, discover which ones are the perfect match for you!

Student organizations post notices for their meetings and events in various ways, including the FCB hallways TV monitors, so check those for club news.

Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF)
The NAU Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) was founded in 2000 with monies provided by The Northern Arizona University Foundation. The fund was created to allow students to apply what they have learned in their educational career by investing money in the stock market. This is a hands-on learning experience, where students are required to perform investment research and manage a portfolio in excess of $1 Million.
In early January 2016, the NAU Foundation Board entrusted the FCB Student Managed Investment Fund with an additional $1M to invest with a mission in mind. The Spring 2016 SMIF students have been investing in EGS-based stocks and to-date, they have committed $540K of the $1M.
The first half of the class, FIN 441, is focused on the equity portion of the portfolio and the second half of the class, FIN 442, focuses on the fixed income portion.
