The W. A. Franke College of Business’ commitment to business leadership extends well beyond the classroom to include the broader business community. Faculty and students serve the community through management development programs, consulting activities, publication of studies vital to local economic development, and professional participation in community and volunteer organizations.

Our business outreach also encompasses our connections to the momentum of the business world through our National and Community Advisory Boards. They help assure what we teach in the classrooms reflects the ever-changing pulse of the Global economy.

Alliance Bank Economic Policy Institute

Economic development for Arizona’s tribal & rural communities

By collecting primary data and performing quantitative research, the Alliance Bank Economic Policy Institute encourages Arizona tourism and economic development for tribal and rural communities. In addition, the Institute promotes lifelong learning via the largest Road Scholar provider in the United States.

Our outreach efforts bring financial literacy to our youth and to our state’s developing entrepreneurs. Our events strengthen these efforts as well as provide networking opportunities for the business communities. The Economic Policy Institute team makes this all happen.

National Advisory Board

The FCB National Advisory Board serves as the primary link between NAU-FCB and our alumni, friends, and the business community. Board members share a desire to help shape the learning experiences and opportunities for tomorrow’s business leaders. National Advisory Board members provide advice and counsel to the dean on matters involving business relationships between The W. A. Franke College of Business and the greater community; representing The W.A. Franke College of Business, its mission, needs, focused vision, programs, and graduates to the general public; and to use their expertise to provide broad perspectives to the curriculum and co-curricular development to keep the College in constant movement forward.

Advisory Council

Accounting Advisory Council

The Accounting Advisory Council (AAC) is comprised of professionals who represent public accounting, industry, and government. The purpose of the council is to advise the Accounting Area and accounting faculty on the mission of the Accounting Area and on issues related to area planning, curriculum development, student recruitment and placement, and area fundraising.

Information Systems Advisory Council

The Information Systems Advisory Council is comprised of industry and government professionals. The purpose of the council is to advise the IS Area, including faculty and students, on issues related to area planning, curriculum development, student recruitment, and placement.
