Lumberjacks Thrive Externship

The Lumberjacks Thrive Externship Program inspires students to apply their learning beyond the classroom through a transformative experience that will impact their lives, long after graduation. Alumni Mentors

Alumni mentors participating in an externship give back to NAU by hosting a Lumberjack extern for a multi-day professional development experience. NAU staff will match students with alumni mentors, and the university will cover the student’s travel and lodging expenses.

Students

You will be paired with an NAU alumna or alumnus for a multi-day, firsthand look into what it takes to thrive in the workplace. Open to all students at the sophomore level, the program covers all travel and lodging expenses. Applications open in the fall for externships taking place in the spring semester.

The externship is your opportunity to:

• Build your resume and boost your competitive edge in the workforce
