Campus living communities

Find your fit, make connections, and feel right at home throughout your college journey with a wide variety of campus living communities (CLCs).

Home to over 10,300 students, NAU ranks in the top 1% nationally for on-campus housing. But living on campus isn’t just about proximity, it’s about community. From your morning coffee to late-night study sessions, you’ll have easy access to classes, dining, and the support you need to thrive.

Located in the heart of Flagstaff, NAU’s campus puts everything within reach. Getting around is easy with free NAU shuttles, bike-share program, and access to the city’s bus system. Wherever you’re headed, campus living keeps you connected.

Benefits of living on campus

Predictable cost

Campus Living actively sets rent with affordability and experience in mind, maintaining increases below the approved ABOR ceiling. This keeps rates predictable and competitive.

All-inclusive rent

Rent includes secure high-speed internet, all utilities (electric, gas, water, sewer, trash, recycling), and unlimited laundry. No additional bills or surprise utility charges for students and their families.

Convenience and access to resources

Students enjoy proximity, easy access, and walking distance to classes, dining, tutoring, health services, and other resources brought into their living communities.

Safety and security

Communities are locked 24/7, with exterior door access to their buildings via digital or physical JacksCard. Live-in professional and student staff provide a 3-tier on-call system, and immediate access to emergency response and student support. The NAU Police Department provides dedicated around-the-clock campus emergency and non-emergency support and police services. Living on campus provides additional online safety behind the NAU firewall and secure dual authentication when accessing the internet.

Campus living and merit scholarships

Beginning fall 2027, a condition of the four-year merit tuition scholarship is an NAU Campus Living experience the first year. This includes NAU-managed housing and a meal plan in the first year.
