ES 498C Seminar in Ethnic Studies (3)

The Capstone Seminar in Ethnic studies will provide an in depth examination of relevant topics in the field of Ethnic Studies, centering on one or more of the following:  African American Studies, Asian/Pacific American Studies, Chicano/Latino Studies, and/or Native American Studies.  This capstone course encourages student to think critically about contemporary issues from a historical and multidisciplinary perspective.  Critical insights may be drawn from disciplines such as literature, cultural studies, education, political science, psychology, history, intersectionality, multiculturalism and identity.  Letter grade only. Prerequisite:  Junior Status or higher  CAP

ES 499 Contemporary Developments (1-3)

Examines recent trends and investigations in a selected area.  Letter grade only.  May be repeated for up to 3 units of credit.
