Dr. Ishan Bhatt was appointed to the Northern Arizona University, in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2014. He received his Bachelor of Science (Hearing, Language and Speech) and MASPL – Masters of Audiology, Speech and Language Pathology from Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped, Maharastra University of Health Science, India. He has a wide range of clinical experience working with patients across multiple age groups. He provided clinical services to academic institutions, hospitals, and private clinic facilities in India. He pursued his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he studied genetic aspects of noise-induced hearing loss using a non-invasive audiological test battery. Dr. Bhatt manages the AudioGenomics Research Lab at NAU. He has been recognized for academic and research excellence in the academic institutions he attended.
