NAU Commencement accommodations
Students
If you require reasonable accommodations due to a disability to participate in commencement exercises, please contact the Disability Resources Office at 928-523-8773 or DR@nau.edu. Requests for accommodation should be made as early as possible, preferably at least one week prior to commencement, to allow time to arrange the accommodation.
Guests
Guests do not need to call ahead for accessible seating accommodations. The Skydome has accessible seating with companion seating for individuals in wheelchairs and scooters, as well as designated seating for those who have trouble negotiating stairs. As with all of the seating in the Skydome, the accessible and ADA seating is first come, first served. We recommend that individuals who need accessible seating arrive when the doors open 90 minutes before the ceremony, as accessible seating can fill quickly. This venue is large and at high elevation. Individuals who experience difficulty walking might consider bringing a wheelchair, walker, or other form of mobility aide. Please contact the Disability Resources Office as early as possible if you have questions about access or other accommodation needs at 928-523-8773 or DR@nau.edu.
Parking
The parking lot for the Skydome (P66) is reserved for individuals with disabilities and VIP guests. Use this map indicating the location of the Skydome and parking lot P66.
