Award description
Northern Arizona University’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) Hall of Fame award recognizes SBS alumni who have made significant contributions in their career, to the university, or to their community. These change-makers are aligned with NAU’s mission, vision and core values; and are making positive impacts to society. The Hall of Fame award is presented to inductees each year during Homecoming.
Award qualifications
- A graduate of NAU’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
- Outstanding success in his/her/their professional career and/or service to the university or community.
- Nominee aligns with NAU’s mission, vision, and core values; and is proud to be a Lumberjack.

Nominations are open year-round but to make the nomination deadline for 2025 please submit your nomination by April 15, 2025.
Preparing for your nomination
- Prepare meaningful responses. Craft your responses to be clear, engaging, and descriptive. The more relevant details you provide, the better the selection committee can understand the nominee’s achievements and impact.
- Highlight achievements and explain the impact. Clearly describe the nominee’s significant accomplishments and the positive results from their efforts.
- Provide specific examples. Support your responses with strong examples of why the nominee is deserving of this award.
- Address all criteria. Ensure your responses address every aspect of the award criteria, demonstrating how the nominee fully meets each requirement.
