Dr. Amy Armstrong-Heimsoth Receives AOTA Roster of Fellows Award

Dr. Armstrong-Heimsoth has spent 26 years in the field of occupational therapy, significantly impacting both the profession and the communities she serves. As an educator at the Phoenix Bioscience Core Campus, she has mentored the next generation of occupational therapists, shaping the future of the field. Her work extends beyond the classroom—Dr. Armstrong-Heimsoth has been a passionate advocate for local youth in the foster care system. Her research focuses on helping youth transition out of foster care, and she has become a leading figure in efforts to integrate occupational therapy into this critical phase of their lives. Dr. Armstrong-Heimsoth is a dedicated community advocate, inspirational leader, and a transformative force in occupational therapy, driving positive change and shaping the future of the profession.
Dr. Armstrong-Heimsoth will be presented with the AOTA Roster of Fellows award at AOTA INSPIRE 2025 in Philadelphia, PA, this April.
