NAU’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is the top-ranked program in Arizona and nationally recognized for its innovative and student-centered approach. Designed to be completed in just 25 months, you’ll follow rigorous academic preparation with immersive learning experiences, including 32 weeks of clinical education.

From your first semester through your final clinical rotation, your educational training is designed for real-world practice. You’ll complete 32 weeks of clinical education in hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, and community health settings, supported by clinical instructors who will help you translate classroom learning into expert patient care. The DPT curriculum is also intentionally structured to prepare you for the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) through licensure-focused coursework, exam preparation resources, and faculty mentorship.

*The chemistry and physics courses must be a two-semester, eight credit-hour or equivalent course sequence. A course sequence is a correlated pair of courses offering in-depth coverage of a specific field and must be at a level such that the courses would be acceptable as prerequisites to advance toward a baccalaureate degree in that discipline. The sequence may be 3 courses at a quarter-based institution.
