Charles Chadwell, PhD

Dr. Charles Chadwell brings over 21 years of experience as an educator and leader in Higher Education to his role as Dean of the College of Engineering.
With his passion for furthering student success, Dean Chadwell promotes and supports high impact student learning outcome practices such as student club involvement, study abroad opportunities, and undergraduate research. His approach toward student success is focused on identifying curricular and institutional barriers and addressing them directly with a ‘meet-the-students-where-they-are’ mentality.

Dean Chadwell’s commitment to collaborating with alumni networks, creating corporate partnerships, and nurturing a productive research environment all work to provide students with a competitive skillset to secure employment post graduation, and his support for effective academic leadership practices foster a culture of inclusive excellence and community throughout the college.
