2024 YAGP

Registration is now closed for the 2024 YAGP Event. Congratulations to all of our dancers who competed this year! To watch the competition, please visit YAGP’s YouTube. Congratulations, 2024 Dancers!

If you are interested in registering through the academy for the 2025 competition, please email us at academy@nau.edu for the registration information. All students who register with the academy must purchase a private lesson package of 4 one-hour lessons at a discounted rate. Academy registration will be through our Active Portal.

You must also register with YAGP through their website. These are two separate registrations, and registering for one does not automatically enroll you for the other. Both must be completed for students to be properly registered for the competition.

2024 RAD Challenge

The Royal Academy of Dance has decided not to host the 2024 Challenge this year due to continued issues surrounding the dance competition location. We will update for future RAD Challenges as we learn more.

2023 Nutcracker Tea

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Tea this year! We want to thank our sponsors for helping us host this amazing fundraiser: Graff OB/GYN PLLC, Northern Arizona Dermatology Center, Peter Gibson MD Orthopedic Hand Surgeon, Around the Mountain Pediatric Dentisty, Next Step Prosthetics, Flagstaff Surgical Associates, and a special thank-you to the Elk’s Lodge for hosting us! It was a beautiful event.

Semester performances

The Nutcracker Ballet

Enrollment in our Pre-Primary through Advanced 2 fall (August-December) classes includes participation in the annual Nutcracker Ballet Performance in conjunction with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. See photos below from our 2023 performance!

The Spring Performance

Enrollment in Beginning Ballet through Adult Ballet and Modern Choreography Spring (January-May) classes includes participation in our spring performance. The spring performance is hosted the Saturday after the last week of classes.

All performances come with a nominal fee to cover possible video recordings, costumes, and booking fees. Students may opt out of end-of-semester performances. Spring performance recordings will depend on student/parent interest upon registration.

Additional Performances

Additional Performances
The academy takes pride in collaborating with community organizations for occasional performances throughout the year. Past performances have included collaborations with The Master Chorale of Flagstaff, The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, The Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival, The Kitt School of Music, and more!

These performances change from year to year, and we try to give our oldest students (Int. Foundation-Advanced 2) the greatest opportunities to try additional performances and experiences. However, when these opportunities arise, we will do our best to open them up to as many students as possible.
