Higher Education Child Care Project

NAU’s Office of the Dean of Students recently announced the Higher Education Child Care Project (HECCP), a pilot program funded by the Arizona Department of Economic Security that will provide qualified child care assistance to full-time, undergraduate student-parents of children from birth to age 12. This program will be available to students who are enrolled in the School of Nursing, Early Childhood Education, or K–12 Education (PEP included). Additionally, student-parents also are required to have an adjusted gross income of no more than 165 percent of the current ADES Federal Poverty Level and be Arizona residents.

Student-parents who are eligible will receive funding for child care expenses per allowable rates and must apply for reimbursements each academic year or for individual terms. HECCP eligibility will be verified prior to each monthly payment. Monthly reimbursements will be distributed four to six weeks from the submission of qualified receipts.  Read more about the Child Care Project from The NAU Review
