Jerry Petersen Scholarship
The Jerry Petersen Scholarship was established by the Northern Arizona University College of Education faculty and staff to provide research support to a doctoral student(s) who has achieved doctoral candidacy in one of the college’s doctoral programs. This scholarship commemorates the dedicated efforts of Dr. Jerry Petersen of the Department of Educational Psychology. Dr. Petersen was a research mentor and adviser to numerous doctoral students during his 33 years as a College of Education faculty member.
Scholarship is awarded up to $1000.
How to Apply
Candidates DO NOT need to complete the College of Education Scholarship Application to be eligible for this particular scholarship. However, if candidates wish to be considered for other scholarships for which they may qualify they must complete the general College of Education Scholarship Application.
The Jerry Petersen Scholarship application deadline has been extended to Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 11:59pm.
There are 3 parts to the Jerry Petersen Scholarship Application:
- Complete the general student information
- Compose a “Letter of Interest” (including a budget) stating how you will use this scholarship fund to contribute to your dissertation research
- Attach a copy of your dissertation prospectus
