  • Journal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education, The

The Journal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education

The eJournal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education was established in Spring 2019. We invite papers of interest to early childhood educators, policy-makers, and other stake-holders in regard to early childhood issues on Tribal Nations across the United States and Indigenous Cultures across the globe. The journal is published four times a year: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. International submissions must be submitted in English.

  • The eJournal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education is blind peer reviewed for authors and researchers worldwide.
  • The eJournal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education is an Open Access journal and free to use.
  • Authors may use, reuse, and build upon the material published in The eJournal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education (non-commercial purposes only).
  • The eJournal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education does not charge authors for manuscript publication.

Submission of manuscripts implies a commitment to publish in the eJIECE and are original works for publication solely in the Journal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education. Accepted manuscripts are subject to editorial modification.

eJIECE submission guidelines

The College of Education at NAU invites submissions for The Journal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education

Manuscripts are invited that address issues in early childhood education on Tribal Nations across the United States and Indigenous Cultures across the globe The Journal of Indigenous Early Childhood Education is a blind peer reviewed journal published four times per year.

  • Submission deadline for the Spring issue is March 1st, with notification on or before May 1st.
  • Submission deadline for the Summer issue is May 1st, with notification on or before August 1st.
  • Submission deadline for the Fall issue is August 1st, with notification on or before October 1st.
  • Submission deadline for the Winter issue is October 1st, with notification on or before December 1st.

Instructions for submitting your manuscript

Please follow these directions:

  • manuscripts up to 3000 words may be submitted
  • use New Times Roman font size 12
  • single-line space your document
  • do not indent the paragraph—use a single line space between each paragraph
  • bold your section headings, flush to the left margin
  • Word document
  • use APA 7th edition
  • references—double space and no indentation on second/subsequent lines

Be sure to include the following information in your header:

  • title
  • author(s)
  • university
