Explore internships within the College of Health & Human Services while earning a healthcare degree
Internship: A form of on-the-job training that provides a unique chance to undergo practical instruction in one’s field of study. An internship consists of an exchange of services for experience between the student and an organization.
Internships are one of the most important options students have to set themselves apart while earning their degrees in healthcare at NAU. Internships provide students with the opportunity to:
- gain work experience
- create a competitive edge in the job market
- start networking
- ensure the field is right for you
- apply classroom knowledge to the real world
Each department has different minimum requirements for students to meet before they can apply for, or participate in, an internship for credit. Many programs in the College of Health and Human Services require an internship or practicum experience prior to graduation. Check with CHHS for details.
