CHER welcomes our newest students Corey Hemstreet and Jennifer Etcitty. Hemstreet is in the online Master of Public Health–Health Promotion program and Etcitty is in the Master of Public Health–Indigenous Health program. They are both working with Amanda Hunter, CHER postdoctoral scholar.

What is your program of study? Master of Public Health–Indigenous Health
Expected Graduation: Spring 2023. I am passionate about cultivating the health and wellbeing of our Indigenous communities through health promotion and research. The MPH degree program will allow me to further my skills, knowledge, and experience in public health efforts led by and for Indigenous peoples.

What is your program of study? Master of Public Health–Health Promotion
Expected Graduation: Spring 2024. My background as a community health representative sparked my interests in health policy, advocacy, and health equity. I am particularly interested in addressing public health issues that affect tribal communities through policymaking at a state and federal level. Upon completing my MPH program, I plan to continue my academic journey in either law school or acquiring my PhD degree.
