Julie Baldwin (CHER Director) and Heather Williamson (CHER faculty and Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy), are now serving on the committee of NAU’s new Interdisciplinary Health (IH) PhD Program. Faculty team members of CHER also look forward to opportunities to participate in this exciting new program. The program is a cross-disciplinary collaborative effort between the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) and the College of Health and Human Services (HHS). This program is designed to educate and train the next generation of health researchers, advocates, and educators with three areas of emphasis: health equity, disability, and psychosocial health. Graduates of the program will be uniquely qualified to lead interdisciplinary research that advances understanding of health equity, disability, and psychosocial health, which are central to important theoretical and practical issues related to population health and health care.
