Congratulations to Ricky Camplain, who was recently named as an assistant professor for Health Science and for the Center for Health Equity Research. Dr. Camplain is an epidemiologist interested in methodology, and she is now teaching Principles of Biostatistics at NAU.
“My favorite thing about conducting research and teaching at the Center for Health Equity Research and all of Northern Arizona University is the sense of community,” Dr. Camplain said. “All of the work we do is with and for our community in Northern Arizona and it is reflected in our research, our students, our classrooms, and our collaborations. I have learned about what it means to be part of a community, and Northern Arizona University has the best one!”
Camplain attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a master’s of science in public health in epidemiology and doctoral degree in epidemiology. She also earned a bachelor’s in chemistry from the University of New Mexico.
