Inclusive Excellence Workshop Series
The Inclusive Excellence Workshops supports NAU’s commitment to educate, support and empower students from all backgrounds, identities and lived experiences to reach their full potential and contribute to a more equitable and inclusive future. The workshops are designed to support our NAU employees through a variety of educational experiences to help enhance the skills necessary to foster and enhance and inclusive Lumberjack community.
Three-level approach
The Inclusive Excellence Workshops utilize a three-level approach which allows participants to choose how far they would like to go on their inclusive journey. In our Foundational Level, participants focus on how their identity and lived experiences play a role in their inclusive journey and how it affects their day-to-day interaction with faculty, staff and students. In our Intermediate Level, participants may build upon their foundational level outcomes and focus on their inclusive journey through a departmental lens. Finally, in the Advanced Level, we examine Inclusive Excellence through an institutional lens and how we can all embrace our work.
