In this spotlight, we shine on these emerging scholars who are not only integral to our mission of supporting early-stage researchers but also hold immense potential to drive meaningful change in the field of health equity.

“A future endeavor of mine is to collaborate closely with Navajo communities to create a meaningful and lasting difference in public health outcomes. In the meantime, I will take time to reflect on this academic pursuit and remain open to what the future has in store.”

“Since graduating I have accepted a role as Research Coordinator, Senior with the Southwest Health Equity Research Collaborative (SHERC) Administrative Core. I am excited to work with a fantastic team and participate in program evaluation along with coordinating SHERC’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) activities.”

“Upon completion of my graduate studies, I will be finishing out my work with Evaluating Arizona’s Health Start Program. Afterwards, I plan to travel and recharge after a long but very humbling journey of schooling. I am excited to embark on a path of continued self-exploration and contribution within the resilient and rewarding field of public health.”
