Apply to study abroad with CCS in the “Art and Life in Tuscany” program with Professor of Art History, Dr. Alexandra Carpino! The program offers an immersive experience in the medieval city of Siena. Spend 5 weeks (May 22-June 28, 2025) in Tuscany and gain insights into Italian art and culture through course instruction, cross-cultural activities and excursions to Florence, Lucca, Pisa and more. Students will learn some Italian language, travel along an ancient pilgrimage road and learn how to cook signature Tuscan dishes! Students will earn 6.00 credits in the program: CCS 250/SA 302 “Cultural Perspectives: Art & Life in Tuscany (3.00 credits) and SA 201/SA 301 “Italian Culture: Language, Food & History (3.00 credits).
