New digital site for the traveling exhibit by the Martin-Springer Institute, “Resilience: Women in Flagstaff’s Past and Present”

Posted by Rebekah Pratt-Sturges on January 20, 2023

CCS students frequently intern with the Martin-Springer Institute under the direction of its director and CCS Professor Dr. Bjorn Krondorfer on public humanities projects and museum exhibitions. MSI presented their traveling exhibit “RESILIENCE: WOMEN IN FLAGSTAFF’S PAST AND PRESENT” in 2019 at Flagstaff City Hall as well as subsequent displays at other local venues. The exhibit resulted from a collaboration between the Arizona Historical Society and a NAU student research team under the directions of MSI and also received an eleven episode article series in the Arizona Daily Sun. The COVID pandemic ended the exhibit abruptly but you can visit the exhibit online through the creation of a digital website created by NAU student and MSI intern Kaia Guscott. Explore the exhibit and read the Arizona Daily Sun articles at https://www.flagstaffresilience.org/.
