Helpful information for potential students
What tuition do I pay? Accordion Closed
Coconino Community College tuition and fees apply to Coconino Community College (CCC) courses. Northern Arizona University tuition and fees apply to university courses. When students dual enroll at the university, they either pay an in-state or an out of state rate as a non degree seeking student. The WUE tuition rate is not an option for dual enrolled students. However, when students transfer to NAU and are admitted as a degree seeking student, they will be classified as either in-state, WUE or out of state.
Where will I apply for and receive financial aid? Accordion Closed
While you are taking classes at CCC, your financial aid eligibility will be determined and any awards will be made by the CCC Financial Aid Office. The school code is 031004. It is very important to read Financial Aid FAQ’s.
Can I live in university residence halls and purchase a meal plan? Accordion Closed
Yes. Please visit Campus Living for more information about living on campus. Students may purchase a meal plan. It is very important to read NAU Campus Living FAQ’s.
How do I dual enroll in classes at NAU while I am at CCC? Accordion Closed
Your CCC2NAU advisor can help you determine which classes are appropriate for your major and help you enroll once your immunization hold is cleared at NAU. Please work with your CCC2NAU advisor rather than an NAU advisor if this is something of interest to you. Your CCC2NAU advisor can often find equivalent classes at CCC that are cheaper using our pathways. Keep in mind that you must pay NAU’s tuition/fee rates for any classes you take at NAU.
What is a LOUIE account? Accordion Closed
LOUIE is where you manage your academic life at NAU and check for any payments (housing, meal plans, etc…) you might owe the university. Don’t worry about the advising holds. Those will stay on until you transfer to NAU. All CCC2NAU students should be comfortable navigating LOUIE. To log in, contact NAU’s Student Technology Center to set up your account. Know your NAU user ID before you call them.
Can I participate in athletics? Accordion Closed
In accordance with NCAA regulations, participation on university athletic teams is limited to those students who are enrolled as full-time NAU students and who are registered with the NCAA clearinghouse. For this reason, our students are not eligible to play in NCAA sports.
However, CCC now offers Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams as part of the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACAAC). Fill out the interest form to connect with the Head Coach.
Please note:
- CCC2NAU students are welcome to play for NAU’s Intramural sports.
- CCC2NAU students who are interested in NAU’s Sport Clubs should talk with the coach to see if they are eligible to join. Please note that some sport clubs will not allow CCC2NAU students or there may be additional requirements such as enrollment in a certain number of credits at NAU .
- Any student who plans to play for either intramural or club teams will need to purchase a membership to the HLC (Health and Learning Center).
Can I join clubs and organizations at NAU while I’m a student at CCC? Accordion Closed
Absolutely! Learn more about more than 400 student clubs and organizations.
Can I join a fraternity or sorority while in the CCC2NAU program? Accordion Closed

How do I get to use NAU’s campus health and recreation services or attend student events on NAU’s campus? Accordion Closed
Click here to purchase amenities at NAU. These fees must be paid each semester and are not pro-rated. Your JacksCard may then be used to enter the HLC, concerts, or athletic events on NAU’s campus. Students using NAU campus services are required to clear their MMR immunization hold on their NAU account.
I’ve heard that NAU students have to turn in proof of immunizations. Does that apply to me? Accordion Closed
Yes. In order to take a class at NAU’s Flagstaff campus, live on campus, use the HLC, attend student activities and to obtain your JacksCard voucher, you will need to turn in proof of your immunizations for measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR). Please upload your immunization record using your NAU login and password. Once your MMR hold is lifted, contact your advisor to request a voucher for your JacksCard.
How do I obtain an NAU JacksCard? Accordion Closed
Contact your CCC2NAU advisor once your MMR hold has been removed to obtain your voucher. Then contact the JacksCard office in the Student Union to obtain your free ID. If you are living on campus your JacksCard will serve as your room key.
Where can I park? Accordion Closed
On CCC campuses, you must purchase and display a current parking permit which can be purchased though Student Accounts. At NAU, you must purchase an NAU parking permit or pay by the hour. Check out NAU’s Interactive Campus Map for parking and building locations.
Does CCC2NAU guarantee that I will be admitted to NAU? Accordion Closed
We cannot guarantee admission to NAU, but we will help you identify and work toward meeting NAU’s admission requirements.
If I transfer to NAU before I complete my associate degree, can I transfer my university credits back to CCC and complete my associate degree? Accordion Closed
Yes. This process is called reverse transfer and you should take advantage of it. Every academic credential you earn makes you more competitive for employment and other opportunities. If you are interested in completing a degree or certificate via reverse transfer, talk to your CCC2NAU advisor during your transfer appointment.
