Student Employment processes and resources are designed to prepare students for the realities of the 21st century workforce. NAU uses career readiness competencies, identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), as a foundation to ensure a successful transition into the workplace.
How we can help you
The Student Employment Program at NAU, applies student development theory, career development theory, and contemporary research to:
- assist students in finding and securing employment that meets their goals and needs,
- facilitate competency-based training and professional development opportunities for current student employees to ensure their career-readiness upon graduation, and
- provide on-campus employers with the guidance and tools to create meaningful experiences for student employees throughout the student employment life-cycle, including: recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, professional development, performance management, recognition and classification.
