Internships
What is an internship?
Credit-bearing internships at NAU are a partnership between the internship host site, student intern, and NAU departmental internship coordinator or faculty member.
This tri-lateral partnership supports a successful internship experience for all by articulating clear expectations, supporting process compliance, and focusing on the intern’s roles as student and learner.

Internships at NAU
There are numerous opportunities at Northern Arizona University for students to participate in internships.
Internships are usually sponsored through the college or school of a student’s major and take place locally, regionally, nationally or internationally. Some majors require internships, or have a practicum component built into the curriculum, while other areas of study encourage internships for career exploration and practical experience, but they are not required. For more internship opportunities associated with a given major, contact the department internship representative listed for more information.
