Community programs
Fostering arts and culture in Flagstaff
We’re committed to bringing educational opportunities in the arts, culture, and history to those in our university and neighborhood community. That’s why we invest in world-class programs that are open to the public.
Remembering the past
The Martin-Springer Institute is a leading Holocaust research and remembrance institute. The Institute’s programming fosters understanding of the past, empathy in the present, and justice for the future.
Music and dance courses for all ages
The Community Music and Dance Academy fosters a life-long love of the performing arts with a caring, hands-on environment and personable faculty who offer lessons in music and dance for students starting at 2 years old.
So much more than band camp
The Curry Summer Music Camp gives young musicians the opportunity to push themselves and grow their talents with university-level faculty and nationally renowned musicians.
Growing young writers
For imaginative, passionate students ages 9-14, NAU offers a summer experience that will help young writers learn how to edit and publish the stories they love to tell.
Join the conversation
NAU’s Philosophy in Practice program creates opportunities for members of the community to join trained philosophers and like-minded peers for deep conversations about important topics.
