This week’s #NAUArtistOfTheWeek is Grace Godat. Grace is an Art Education major @nauschoolofart, and defines her artistic style as impressionistic in nature, and occasionally she enjoys venturing into surrealism and abstractism. Her favorite artistic subjects are sunsets and water. Grace reports that her method of working typically entails photographing the sky at varying points of the sunset and using the images as references to paint a combination of the sky at different points of the sunset. As an Orange County, California native, she often brings her art supplies with her to the beach to work while enjoying the view.
Thank you, Grace, for sharing your artwork with the NAU Art Community!
