As part of the ACLU of Arizona’s 60th-anniversary celebration festivities, the NAU Art Museum is hosting a traveling art exhibition that reflects the ACLU of Arizona’s mission, In This Together: Sixty Years of Daring to Create a More Perfect Arizona.
“In This Together” is an exhibition of works that was conceived in celebration of sixty years of activism on the part of the American Civil Liberties Union in Arizona. The NAU Art Museum decided to serve as a venue for the exhibition out of our conviction that any museum is not simply a cultural resource, but a participant in the civic life of its community. The NAU Art Museum does not take one political position over another, for, as the ACLU itself states, “Our work isn’t about one person, one party, or one issue. It’s about all of us, we the people, coming together and daring to create a more perfect Arizona. We’re in this together.”
