This degree prepares you for a secondary education certificate, with a K–12 endorsement in Art. To major in Art Education, you must be accepted into the Professional Teacher Education Program.
Bring art to everyone
You’ll learn theory and practice of art criticism, history, aesthetics, and studio art, as well as skills in elementary and secondary student development and learning and classroom management. This well-rounded background will equip you to become an art teacher, and prepare you for future ambitions as a counselor, art therapist, and more.
