Lumberjack Alumni Ambassadors
Paving the way to become NAU alumni
Since the founding of the Lumberjack Alumni Ambassadors (LAA) in 1992, the NAU student members are the architects of current student and alumni relations. This student organization enhances student engagement with the Alumni Association, continues the #TrueBlueNAU spirit, and positively impacts the Flagstaff community through volunteer work.
Events, activities, and alumni relations
Year after year, LAA selects the Homecoming theme and contributes to the official Homecoming t-shirt design. Proceeds from t-shirt sales are dedicated to one of the only student-funded scholarships in the state of Arizona. The club also hosts a variety of student events and activities, including the Homecoming Lumberjack Splash Bash, Spring Dodgeball Tournament, Student and Mentor Networking, and Trick-or-Treat canned food drive. Club members are also active in the NAU Relay for Life and coordinate games during Flagstaff’s Big Brothers Big Sisters picnic.
NAU Alumni and Student Networking Event
One of the largest activities LAA members participate in each spring is the Alumni and Student Networking event. Students participate in panel discussion, Q & A discussion, and individual peer mentoring with distinguished alumni.
