Jeff Willis, ’72 BA, Northern Arizona University and ’75 JD, Washington and Lee University School of Law, is a senior partner in Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., Arizona’s largest law firm. He is admitted to practice in five states and the District of Columbia. In 2016, he was again selected as Tucson’s Lawyer of the Year for “Bet Your Company Litigation” by Best Lawyers in America, and in previous years was named a “Southwest Super Lawyer.” Jeff’s leadership began at NAU where he served on the ASNAU Senate for three years and continues today as he sits on the State Bar of Arizona’s Board of Governors and the board of Patronato San Xavier in Tucson. He was elected secretary-treasurer of the State Bar in 2015, and currently serves as an adjunct professor of advanced trial advocacy for the University Of Arizona, James E Rogers School of Law. While attending NAU, Jeff was active in Sophos and Blue Key, and was one of the first graduates of the NAU Honors Program. Both of Jeff’s brothers and one of his sons are NAU alums, and his father, Dr. William R. Willis, was the chair of the NAU Physics Department from 1967-1989.
