This year’s 50th Reunion Celebration will take place Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11, 2018 in conjunction with Spring Commencement. Dressed in golden regalia, you will march in the processional and sit as honored guests in the front row during the Friday 11:00 a.m. ceremony in the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome in Flagstaff.
Reunion activities begin Thursday with check-in, then a guided campus bus tour in the afternoon, followed by a private reception and tour of Special Collections in the Cline Library. Friday morning you will don your golden gowns, and the bus will chauffer you to the Skydome one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. commencement ceremony. After the ceremony, there will be a group photo on the steps of Old Main and celebration luncheon in the Pat Cline Reading Room of the Cline Library.
Your reunion is a great way to reminisce and reconnect with classmates. We encourage you to make your plans to attend this reunion as soon as possible. Please fill out the registration, cap and gown, and yearbook information forms and mail them back to the NAU Office of University Events.
We have a block of rooms reserved at the Doubletree by Hilton Flagstaff for May 10, & 11, 2018. The group name is NAU Golden Grads with the group rate of $159.00 per night. You can reserve your room by calling direct to 928-773-8888. The final booking date is Wednesday, April 11, 2018. If you have made other arrangements, please plan on meeting at the Doubletree for bus pickup to attend all reunion events.
There is a registration fee of $125 per graduate and $100 for spouse or guests. Registered guests are invited to attend all activities with the graduate. Your registration fee helps supplement the event costs, care of the cap and gown, transportation to and from all reunion events, reception, luncheon and commemorative mini yearbook. The deadline for mailing your registration materials is Friday, April 20, 2018. If you are unable to attend the reunion, you can participate in the mini-yearbook for $10 which includes all participants, attending and receiving a yearbook only.
