Christopher Petroff – Past President
Chris Petroff, ’03 BSBA (Business Administration), is vice president of marketing for the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. GPEC is a 25 year old, nationally awarded Economic Development organization that is chartered to attract quality businesses to the Greater Phoenix region from around the world, and to advocate and champion foundational efforts to improve the region’s competiveness. Prior to his work at GPEC, Petroff was the co-founder of SEED SPOT, an incubator in Phoenix for early stage social entrepreneurs. Since SEED SPOT’s launch in October of 2012, SEED SPOT has played in integral part of Arizona’s entrepreneurial community by supporting nearly 90 startups. Connected in the community, Petroff currently holds board member seats for the Better Business Bureau of Arizona, TiE Global –Arizona, and the Northern Arizona University Alumni Association. He has also served as a board member in the past for the Phoenix Art Museum’s Men’s Arts Council and the Sigma Chi CHOICES Program. Petroff holds an undergraduate degree in business management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship from NAU, as well as a graduate level certificate in global management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Petroff was also recognized as a recipient of the “40 under 40” award by the Phoenix Business Journal in 2013 and also received the “Excellence in Achievement by a Recent Graduate” from Northern Arizona University. Chris resides in Central Phoenix with his wife and college sweetheart Liz Petroff (NAU ’03) and their two children Jack and Lucy.
