Detachment 027--Home of the Highlanders!
Our Mission is to "Develop Quality Leaders for the Air Force"
Service Before Self
Excellence in All We Do
The Air Force ROTC program is designed to recruit, educate and commission officer candidates through college campus programs based on Air Force requirements. The AFROTC program at NAU is #14 in the nation out of 145 Detachments.
AFROTC DET 027 GOAL
Develop Air Force future leaders in an environment that instills core values and demands maximum performance.
This is the official website of Detachment 027, Air Force ROTC, at Northern Arizona University. The Cadet Wing is composed of approximately 150 cadets who are pursuing degrees in many different majors. You will receive the best training the military has to offer.
Our program prepares young men and women to become leaders in the Air Force, but it is also much more. You will grow as an individual both mentally and physically while developing lifelong friendships. You can acquire strong leadership skills that will benefit you as an Air Force Officer and in corporate America. And, it is an opportunity to pay for your education through scholarships.
Plus, unlike many college students, you’ll have a position as a Second Lieutenant waiting for you after graduation at one of the top high-tech organizations in the world — the U.S. Air Force.
Thank you for visiting this site! You may also visit the official United States Air Force and Holm Center websites for more information about the U. S. Air Force and Officer Candidate Training programs.

request ROTC housing, look for “ROTC Learning Community” on the learning
communities dropdown of your online housing application (http://nau.edu/Residence-Life/Apply-for-Housing/).
