Student Veteran Orientation (Spring Semester)

If you will begin attending classes in January and are a new or transfer student who has served or is serving in the United States Military, you will:

  • Complete online orientation.
  • Register to attend the Jan. 13 in-person session for student veterans. (details below)

After you pay your enrollment deposit, you’ll receive a confirmation message with a link to access online orientation. We’ll also include the link in a separate message to your NAU email address.

If you are over 21 years old and have earned fewer than 24 credit hours of post-high school work, call (928) 523-8387 to ensure you receive the link for Online Orientation and are excused from the freshman orientation.

Online Orientation provides all the essential steps to enroll and includes resources and information to be a successful student.

Be sure to do the following prior to completing the online orientation:

  1. Pay your enrollment deposit.
  2. Register for the in-person Student Veteran Orientation by calling (928) 523-VETS.
  3. Send your immunization records to Campus Health Services. 
In addition to completing the Online Orientation, please email your name and student ID to veteran.center@nau.edu or call (928) 523-VETS to register to attend the free In–Person Student Veteran Orientation.  Enjoy lunch on us! 

In-Person Student Veteran Orientation

Friday, Jan. 13
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Veteran Success Center
Meet at the University Union Fieldhouse, bldg. 30, room 138 (Veteran Success Center)

The in-person orientation will cover: 

  • VA education benefits process and NAU requirements
  • Presentations on key campus resources that will facilitate your success
  • Academic advising, BB Learn, and information for student success
  • An opportunity to meet our staff and fellow veteran students
  • A Seasoned veteran Student Panel to answer your real questions
