NAU Military-Connected Student Orientation

NAU In-person Orientation and Veteran and Military Services (VMS) Virtual Information sessions are crucial steps in transitioning to Northern Arizona University as a new, transfer, or graduate student.

Visit the Veteran and Military Services Orientation page for details and to register for your Orientation and Education Benefit Information Session.

Please Note: To ensure timely payment processing of your VA benefits, it is important to complete all required steps 4 to 6 weeks before the term begins, if possible.

To initiate and utilize your military connected education benefits, please visit the  VMS Checklist Page to find your targeted VMS In-coming student checklist. As you choose your targeted checklist based on your military status and type of benefit, you will be directed to complete each step of the checklist to initiate and utilize your military-connected benefit (GI Bill®, DOD Tuition Assistance, or Veteran Readiness & Employment).

You will also be provided registration information for the Virtual Benefit Info Sessions and the In-person Veteran Orientation.

Please review our detailed checklists

We look forward to supporting your academic and professional goals! Please contact us directly for any questions that may arise.
