Statewide student Orientation

For statewide students

New student Orientation is a crucial step in starting or continuing your education at Northern Arizona University. Students attending NAU at one of our statewide locations are a valuable part of the Lumberjack family, and Orientation is a great way to connect with valuable resources and support that will help your transition.

Registering for Orientation

There are in-person, virtual, and fully online Orientation options for new NAU students attending at a statewide campus. Choose your preference and register below:

Learn more about available resources such as academic advising, technology assistance, student accounts, financial aid, library services, veteran and military support, and disability resources.

This Orientation is open to students taking classes online or at a statewide location (excluding Yuma). 

Thursday, August 15
6 p.m.–8 p.m.

In person (NAU–Yuma)

This event is designed exclusively to support all new Yuma undergraduate students. The event will feature an academic department faculty meet-and-greet session, a student services resource fair, and an individual walk-in hour to support any last-minute questions or support you may need to kick start your semester for success.

You won’t want to miss this orientation event, as there will be plenty of refreshments and giveaways for new students. We look forward to welcoming you to the NAU Yuma Campus and helping you embark on this exciting journey to personal, academic, and career success!

This Orientation is intended for students who will be enrolling in classes at the NAU–Yuma campus.

Student veterans and active duty are welcome to attend an online or statewide Orientation session, but should also attend NAU military-connected student Orientation.
