辅助补习

Supplemental Instruction (SI)

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a series of peer-facilitated weekly review sessions for students taking historically challenging courses.  SI Leaders are current students who have previously taken the course, performed well, and want to help others succeed. Students who attend SI regularly earn fewer Ds and Fs than students who don’t utilize SI, and –on average– get a higher final course grade.

辅助补习对国际学生特别有帮助。辅助补习仅为那些修了最难的课程学生进行补习。这些课程包括ACC 205, ACC 255, CENE 180以及有关课程。参加补习的学生可以形成一个小组在一起问问题与复习有关课程概念。另外，补习的负责人还可以用不同于授课教授的方法与词汇来解释有疑惑的问题，帮助学生准备考试。学生参加辅助补习会获得许多益处。

Writing Commons

The University Writing Commons (UWC) offers individual writing support to students, staff, and faculty at any stage of the writing process. The UWC welcomes students, staff, and faculty from across the disciplines, from any NAU location, of any writing skill level, and of any academic level. Our work extends across research assistance, any genre of writing, presentations, and the individual needs of the student. Appointments are offered in person at several locations across the NAU Mountain Campus and online.
