Academic suspension may occur at the
end of the fall, spring, or summer term. You may not return to the
university for at least one full term (fall, spring, or summer) after

Reinstatement appeals are due by the deadline for the term you wish
to return. Read more about appeal deadlines and processes.
Late appeals are not reviewed for any
reason. The deadline is already determined by the last possible date
that an appeal can be processed and sent to committee members for
review before the committee meeting. All coursework must be completed
prior to the start date of the term of reinstatement.
Undergraduate Academic Continuation Committee
In order to return to the university,
the UACC must approve your appeal. If you miss a deadline or fail to
secure a successful reinstatement, you may be out for more than one
Reinstatement is never automatic and
requires a majority vote from the UACC.
You have the strongest possibility of
reinstatement if you can present documented proof of your commitment
to academics that justifies the committee’s approval to remove your
suspension. The committee will consider the following:
- 12 most recent units of
documented academic coursework at another college, university, or
higher learning institution with at least a 2.5 grade
- 12 units of
documented academic coursework in progress at another college or
university that will be completed before reinstatement and, when
completed, shows at least a 2.5 grade point average
- a documented
explanation of extenuating circumstances that resulted in your past
poor academic performance and evidence that those circumstances have

Notification of UACC decisions
All notifications regarding UACC decisions are communicated by the committee chair.
If your appeal is approved, the following will apply:
- you must satisfy each condition of the UACC as identified in your reinstatement letter including, but not limited to:
- meeting with an academic advisor
- meeting with other relevant university personnel
- providing requested documentation
- you will return to the university with an academic standing of probation and the restrictions that accompany academic probation
- if your appeal is denied, your letter will include suggestions to better prepare for the next reinstatement appeal cycle
If your appeal is received late, you will be contacted and prompted to notify the chair of the UACC if you want your late appeal to be moved forward to the next reinstatement appeal cycle.

Readmission is required for
undergraduate students who have not been enrolled for three
consecutive fall/spring terms.
If you have not attended the university
for three consecutive terms, complete the Application
Do not apply for admission through
Undergraduate Admissions. When filing for readmission, there is no
fee, and you are not required to attend orientation.
