Electronically submit completed application, two signed letters of recommendation (preferably on letterhead), and statement of purpose for applying online to University College

Applications for LEGISLATIVE INTERNSHIP with supporting documentation must be received by October 4th, 2013 at 5 p.m.

Applications for LEGISLATIVE BROADCAST INTERNSHIP with supporting documentation must be received by October 18th, 2013 at 5 p.m.

There will be no deadline extensions offered.

Selection process

  • Submit your Legislative application application by:
    Friday, October 4th, 2013, at 5 p.m.
  • Submit your Legislative Broadcast application by:
    Friday, October 18th, 2013 at 5 p.m.
  • Legislative Internship interview on campus with faculty and legislative representatives. Interviews must be conducted in person, no exceptions.
  • Broadcast Internship interview conducted in person in Phoenix. Students can obtain an institutional waiver if needed.
  • Interviewees are screened.
  • Top candidates are referred to the legislature for a second interview at the capitol in Phoenix.
  • Candidates will be notified by the legislature.
  • Selected interns proceed with having credits approved by their advisor and returning documentation to Building 8, room 201, for tuition waiver and rescheduling classes for Spring 2014.
