2015 Book Selection
Flagstaff Reads is excited to announce the 2016 selection, Underground Girls of Kabul: In Search of a Hidden Resistance in Afghanistan,by Jenny Nordberg. 
Undergound Girls of Kabul is a powerful and moving account of the people secretly living on the other side of a deeply segregated society where women have very little freedom.
A book discussion is scheduled for
October 5th at 7:00pm at the east Community Library and October 13th at 6:00pm at the Downtown Library, 300 W. Aspen.
Flagstaff’s one book, one city program fostering community engagement and conversation through the vehicle of a common book.
Flagstaff Reads is a partnership between NAUreads and the Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library.
The goals of the program are to:
- Facilitate community engagement and conversation amongst Flagstaff residents, including NAU students.
- Provide community based educational experiences that address the arts, culture, and science through the themes of the selected book.
- Focus community conversation on global awareness, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
- Provide experiences for all types of readers at all levels and all ages.
