First Generation Programs & Lumberjack Leaders Institute

Alyssa Galmish was recently honored by NASPA recognizing her work in Student Affairs. Congratulations Alyssa!
On Friday, November 13th, one of our former Lumberjack Leaders Institute (LLI) participants told her story. Vidal Mendoza joined the LLI workshop series last Fall and her future has changed. She has become a Peer Mentor for the TRIO SSS program and plans to go to graduate school in student affairs. She was invited to tell her first-gen story to lift up the many feelings and perspectives of first-gen students at NAU. For additional detail, visit the NAU News article covering the story.


Peer Jacks Mentoring Recognized

A program created for out-of-state students attending Northern Arizona University, Peer Jacks mentoring program helps freshmen transition to university life. Native American Heritage Month

Native American Heritage Month is a celebration of unique cultures and traditions of indigenous peoples. Partake in this month's celebration and acknowledgement of the important contributions of indigenous peoples through various events. NAU named ‘Best for Vets’ and military friendly

Northern Arizona University has been designated a ‘Best for Vets’ university for student veterans, making the Military Times list for 2016. NAU ranked 66 in the nation. NAU also made the 2016 list of military friendly schools, earning the designation for the fourth year in a row. Visit the NAU News feed for more information.
