Western Undergraduate Exchange
The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program is only available to students who are declared and attending the Flagstaff Mountain and Yuma campuses. With the WUE program, students who meet the university’s
admission criteria and live in one of 14 Western states, or two U.S. Territories (Guam and the Commonwealth of the North Marianas Islands) can receive a tuition
rate of 1.5 times the cost of in-state tuition—significantly less than
IMPORTANT! Students MUST submit their Prop 300/Citizenship verification documentation requirements for the WUE tuition to be applied. Students will not receive the WUE tuition discount until this information is submitted by the posted due date on the student's checklist (students can access their LOUIE Student Center to view checklist items).
Please note, the WUE tuition rate only applies to fall and spring semesters.

*Please note that Northern Arizona University received updated information from WICHE stating that America Samoa and some Freely Associated States (Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau) are not yet part of the WICHE program.
WUE rates apply to all of our majors except:
*Beginning summer 2015, students interested in nursing or dental hygiene are now eligible for our reduced WUE tuition rate as pre-program majors. An additional application is still required for these highly competitive programs. See nau.edu/nursing or nau.edu/dentalhygiene for details. If accepted into the professional program major, out-of-state tuition will apply for the remaining terms.
* Students accepted
into our Flagstaff and Yuma nursing or dental hygiene programs with a fall 2018
or later program start will retain the reduced WUE tuition rate. An additional
