Get Involved

In the face of disaster, Lumberjacks come together with courage, compassion and unity and ask, “How can I help?”

There are many ways to Get Involved on campus, especially before a disaster occurs.  The whole community can participate in programs and activities to make our campus safer from risks and threats.  So Get Involved before disaster strikes! Here are a few ways you can help:

Join NAUCERT! The NAU Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is an on-campus club that educates students about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others across campus or in their home communities following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
