SAS

SAS is a full featured data analysis tool that provides a wide variety of statistics and graphs. It may also be used for data mining. The available statistics include:

  • Standard descriptive statistics such as mean, mode and standard deviation
  • N-way tables with correlation statistics
  • Analysis of Variance
  • Regression Analysis
  • Factor Analysis
  • Cluster Analysis

Updating your license

These directions are similar for SAS 9.1 and SAS 9.2.

If you already have SAS software installed, the Renew SAS Software utility applies SAS Installation Data. From the Start menu, select Programs (or All Programs on Windows XP) -> SAS -> SAS 9.1 Utilities -> Renew SAS Software.

If the Renew SAS Software tool cannot be reached from the Start menu, there are two other ways to reach it:

As the text at the top of the Renew SAS Software window indicates, there are three steps in renewing your SAS software:

  1. Select a SAS Installation Data File.
  2. Choose from available SETINITs.
  3. Specify product location.

Click Next to advance through the three steps.

General Information Academic Computing also assists in  survey processing  and  Faculty evaluation  processing. ITS is able to supply (for a nominal charge) scan forms that you may employ in your survey based research. 


JMP is available for Windows and Macintosh. 


ITS Supports the SPSS/PASW statistical package at NAU
